Creating a Strong Brand Design for a New Player in the CTV/OTT Marketing Vertical

VlogBox is a global company specializing in video distribution and monetization through video advertising for OTT/CTV audiences, ensuring high profits for content creators and bloggers. Their activities encompass hosting, encoding, and streaming video content, combined with developing specialized applications for clients.

Vertical: Video Monetization Platform and Marketing Agency

Challenge 

When our team was approached in 2018, the CTV/OTT marketing industry was just beginning to gain popularity in the advertising business. We enthusiastically accepted the challenge to help this startup secure a significant place in this promising niche.

Our team needed to create a brand from scratch that would attract the attention of creators and video content producers of all types, as well as encourage interaction with various clients and partners. The large scale of the task was both exciting and inspiring for us.

Solution 

The target audience for the project was quite young and ambitious. Neither we nor the client wanted to confine ourselves to tired conventions. So our search led us to a design close to pop art. It creates a harmonious chaos of colors and styles. Its main advantage is achieving the contrasts and accents we needed.

From Lens to Global Opportunities 

When creating the logo, we used a circle as the visual basis, symbolizing a camera lens – the key tool of a video content creator. The expanding concentric circles reflect the potential for profit growth, global development, and the discovery of new opportunities. The color accent on the smallest circle emphasizes the focus on results and targeting precision. The multi-layered composition demonstrates the diversity of collaboration levels and creates a sense of visual completeness.

Typography for VlogBox 

The Poppins font was used in the website design. The typography of this font conveys an atmosphere of creativity and ensures ease of information perception.

For optimal visual presentation of text content, two font styles were chosen:

  • Poppins Bold for headings
  • Poppins Regular for body text

This combination allows for creating a clear hierarchy and improving content readability.

Color Energy: How Design Unites Different Content Makers 

The platform brings together content makers of various types and targeting, so the palette couldn’t be limited to just a couple of colors. Our choice was energetic and active contrasting and complementary colors, which in different combinations are suitable for any audience.

Eye-Catching Graphics 

Our digital collage technique allowed us to seamlessly combine photos, cartoon characters, and illustrations. This gave us maximum freedom in the graphic presentation of information and created a balance between originality and elegance, drawing attention to the necessary elements of the site.

Website as a Combination of Functionality and Aesthetics 

Thanks to coordinated efforts and effective collaboration of our team of designers, developers, and managers, we successfully created a large-scale web project that included dozens of website pages, landing pages, and partner pages. Despite its complex structure, the site stands out with its variety of elements and animations.

Brand Recognition Through Unified Graphics in Social Media 

The task of creating a vibrant social profile required us to combine creativity, strategy, and understanding of the target audience. We created a truly lively Instagram feed, rich with diverse content: entertaining memes and reels, market statistics, tips for bloggers, and more. The unified graphic style allowed SMM specialists to build a strategy easily implementing new content categories.

Presentations as a New Level of Business Communication 

As part of our interaction with VlogBox, we received many tasks for developing presentation designs. We didn’t use standard template solutions, but gave free rein to imagination and creativity. Almost every presentation had its own unique style within the overall brand style. We managed to combine business specifics with targeted creative approaches.

Quality Funnel for Partners Through Unique Landing Pages and Emails 

Thanks to our team, 15 CTV partners received unique landing pages that helped them attract new users to their channels. The goal was to show true partnership and collaboration, so we combined the partners’ graphic elements with VlogBox’s corporate style. To complete the comprehensive funnel, we developed emails – both their design and HTML code.
